Turist / Tourist (2019)

This semi-documentary short film was produced as a result of four trips to the mountain Montserrat in Catalonia, and the abbey located there. Through the film, a voice over reflects on the role of the tourist, while we follow the narrator's journey through picturesque scenery and sights. The film is a part of a series of projects examining the gaze, and how the human gaze and the camera lens develops in a relation of mutual dependency. The gaze of the tourist can be said to already have fused with the camera lens, and it therefore acts as the starting point for this film.
